I could have sworn that was a Yogi Berra quote, but it appears not!

OK, so you made me look harder. Here’s the quote:
“Abstinence is a good thing if practiced in moderation.”
Comes from a pretty funny book called “Anguished English, An Anthology of Accidental Assaults Upon Our Language” (a Laurel book published by Dell, 1987), by Richard Lederer, who unfortunately doesn’t say where he got the quote. Maybe, as one quote source says, it’s because the author is the famous Unknown.
