Wikipedia to overtake porn

It’s a well-known fact that pornography drives the development of technology. Whether you’re talking about the Internet, VHS, or papyrus, porn pushed the envelope and paid the way for the development of the underlying media. Well, I hate to admit it, but it appears that pr0n is moving on:

As this Google trend clearly shows, the user-generated encyclopedia Wikipedia is about to overtake porn. What does this mean? SERIOUS INFORMATION IS DISPLACING PORNOGRAPHY! Do we really think that people looking for articles on the history of corn farming are going to pay for advancements to the information superhighway? I hate to be a naysayer, but I think we’re headed towards the inevitable end of the internet.

Time to start studying video phones.

This just infers that people don’t need to search for porn.

I know where to find porn. I don’t need to ask Google.

Though Wikipedia is on its way, IMO we still have a ways to go till it takes over porn.

What about searches for “boobs”, “topless”, “nudity”, etc. ? People looking for porn could use a variety of search terms (all of which would add up to way more traffic than the line shown on the chart). People searching for Wikipedia would only use “Wikipedia”, however, so it would not get the same “synonym boost”.

    Nice sentiment, though,

New things are always going to rise faster than something that is established. Even so, do not fret. Wikipedia will level out. The internet will not die unless there is another-better way to bring naked people into your house in the blink of an eye. And once we have interactive hologram rooms who’s gonna care about the internet?

You do realize that this is due to the fact that one can find more porn on Wikipedia than on Google? Don’t believe me?

Yes, everything on that article is from Wikipedia!

PORN IS FUCKING SICK AND DISGUTSTING AND IT BECOMES AN ADDICTION LIKE MARIJUANNA OR ALCOHOL. IT IS A SIN THAT CHAINS YOU DOWN

    Hmmm where to start

Porn is a sin if you dont like it dont view dont smoke it dont drink it who are you to think your point of view counts I say religion is a sin.

Porn wiki vs Google as a webmaster who ranks well for porn on some well known search engines not Google im sorry to say you would be supprised that not so many guys search for it.

I think guys and girls seeking porn may use porn directories and image searches more than Google serps.

I am kinda gay and like to look up porn
    But I don’t use google
This trend is inaccurate and meaningless to society and its real intentions.
